Extension activities
Introduction
Extension activities in the field of Geography are aimed at promoting the practical application of geographical knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of the world and its various geographical processes. - Geography students and faculty can conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of geographical issues in local communities on natural resource conservation and disaster preparedness or to solve local geographical challenges.

- This initiative aim to foster a deeper understanding of local heritage and culture

3. Mapping and GIS Projects:
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing are powerful tools in geography.
For example, students prepared thematic maps on Krishnagar Municipality, Nadia District and analyzeLULC map of Krishnagar Municipality.

4. Collaborative Activities:
- Geography departments collaborated with local authorities and government agencies to undertake campaign on social services that can influence policy decisions and improve local governance.
Experiential Learning Program in collaboration with Banglar Sahayata Kendra

Impact Study Survey of School Nutrition (Kitchen) Garden Scheme (PM Poshan) in Selected school of West Bengal in collaboration with Pratichi Trust (India).

Participation of students and faculty in a special lecture of Prof. Amartya Sen on Yuktasadhana(Collaboration in Diversity) organized by Pratichi (India) Research centre.

5. Workshops and Seminars:
